IMPLEMENTATION OF TECHNOLOGY-BASED FIQH LEARNING METHODS AS AN INNOVATION OF THE ISLAMIC EDUCATION CURRICULUM AT MA MIFTAHUL FALAH

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to the field of education, including Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Fiqh learning, which has traditionally relied on lecture-based methods, often causes students to become less active, easily bored, and have difficulties understanding practical materials. Therefore, innovative learning methods are needed to create more interactive, contextual, and student-centered learning. One form of such innovation is the implementation of technology-based fiqh learning at MA Miftahul Falah through the use of digital media, direct practice, and technology-based learning projects. This study aims to describe the implementation of technology-based fiqh learning methods as an innovation in the PAI curriculum, analyze learning innovation through digital media and contextual practices, and identify its impact on students’ activeness and understanding at MA Miftahul Falah. This study employed a qualitative approach using field research methods. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that technology-based fiqh learning was implemented through the use of PowerPoint, YouTube learning videos, demonstration practices, and simulation video projects. The implementation demonstrated a transformation from teacher-centered learning to student-centered learning through contextual practices and Project Based Learning. Technology-based learning had a positive impact on students’ activeness, creativity, learning motivation, and understanding of fiqh materials. Therefore, this study recommends the development of technology-based PAI learning in a more systematic manner through improving teachers’ digital competencies and providing adequate learning facilities in madrasahs.
